- Less than 200 milligrams of sodium per serving or 400 milligrams for meals;
- Meals must taste absolutely delicious.
Other criteria that were important in healthy ready to eat meals were:
- packaging that is not damaging to health and environmentally friendly;
- Labels that disclose all ingredients clearly
- No misleading advertising or ingredients that are unpronounceable;
- No trans fats or refined grains.
The meals should contain lots of antioxidants, whole grains, vitamins and minerals and monounsaturated fats.

Breakfast time crunchy, organic, whole grain, gluten free cereals and organic Greek yogurts, coconut and almond milks, rice milk, free range organic eggs, and healthy spreads will start you off on a good note.
Healthy in-between meal snacks for a quick pick-me-up, which are fat free and packed with energy will keep your appetite in check.
Sunday bacon and hash browns with a new healthy twist taste delicious but contains very little fat.
Organic 7 grain pancake mixes will satisfy any sweet tooth without a guilt trip about the amount of sugar everyday pancakes contain.

Home cooked meals using whole foods and fresh fruit and vegetables is still the best advice for staying healthy.
