Easy Chicken Wing Recipe

Naturally the #1 food at most parties is chicken wings, followed closely by pizza. I know their are 100's of ways to make chicken wings and I'm sure most are very good. The recipe I want to share with everyone is great tasting, but almost as important as the great taste of these wings is the simplicity of making them. Also they maybe a little bit healthier, because they are baked in the oven.
The first thing to do is go to your local dollar store and buy a couple disposable baking pans, get any size you want. I would suggest the large ones that you can make lasagna in, I find they work the best.

This is the basic recipe for 2 1/2 lbs. chicken wings medium heat.
Preheat oven 425 f
2 1/2 lbs. chicken wings cut in 2 so you have a wing part and a little drumstick looking part, just spread the wing apart and cut into 2 pieces.
Spread the wings out in your disposable pan and bake for 1 hr.
For the sauce:
1/3 cup margarine try a healthy one like smart balance
1/2 cup hot sauce in Buffalo we use Frank's Red Hot Sauce, which has this recipe on the bottle.
Melt your margarine then add your hot sauce, when the wings are done cooking, remove them from the oven. Then add your hot sauce into the pan with the wings and stir or shake gently the wings in the sauce.
A great way to serve them is in a crockpot on low or warm setting this way they will stay nice and warm for your party.
Just a regular blue cheese dressing is fine, a good one is use bottle ranch dressing and add your own fresh blue cheese. Celery and carrot sticks and your ready to party. The best part is no pans to clean. Trust me I tried this way with my own pans lined with foil and it still was a mess.
I hope you enjoy these wings at your next get together.

Unique Pathways to Home Cooking Mastery

The road to cooking mastery is as varied as are the personalities of those who dedicate themselves to cooking. Every cook seems to adapt a unique personal approach, thus no two cooks end out preparing anything exactly the same. Each one has the own personal style, their own flavor preferences, and their own secrets to success.

Some cooks can never provide you with a recipe for what they prepare because they reinvent the recipe every time they cook it. Each time a particular item is cooked, it will be slightly different. They will add a pinch of this, and a pinch of that, whatever appeals to them at the moment, and whatever they happen to have available.

Other cooks read cookbooks as if they were novels. They develop a sense about what each ingredient will add to the final product, and they appear to be able to visualize the whole cooking procedure from start to finish. Often they will substitute key ingredients, or modify the cooking time in their head, mentally experimenting to get the flavor they want. Anytime they enter a bookstore, they will immediately beeline for the cookbook section, looking for recipe collections they don't already have. The home library may have 50 to 250 different cookbooks.

Others will collect recipes from the newspaper or magazines. They will often have piles of recipes stuffed in envelopes, things they will try to make someday when they get a chance. The may end up with ten or twelve recipes for the same thing, each one slightly different. Some will get more sophisticated, and will store their recipes on their home computers, but most cooks aren't that organized.

There are a legion of home cooks who are rapt Cooking Channel or U-Tube fanatics, people who can easily spend three or four hours a day watching the cooking shows. They will often cook up something just because some chef somewhere convinced them that a particular dish was easy to make and incredibly tasty. They are constantly looking for new ideas and new approaches to preparing common dishes.

There are still others who follow every recipe to the "T." Then there are the experimenters, the ones who never follow the recipe precisely. They are constantly making substitutions, visualizing the taste as they play with the ingredients, and coming up with all sorts of interesting variations.

There are some whose cooking styles reflect recipes perfected and passed down for generations as family secrets. Their dishes have a unique character and taste that makes their particular home style cooking a feast of the senses.

There are some cooks that are constantly tasting as they go, and others that work by sense of smell. There are those who keep the dishes fairly simple, but none the less tasty, and there are others who make each dish an elaborate work of art, as much for the eyes as for nose and mouth.

This leads to infinite varieties of home cooked creations.

Italian Style Cooking

When people talk about Italian style cooking, they are usually referring to particular or familiar recipes. Italian food is so much more than that. Most people have no idea that they are cooking Italian most of the time. Many dishes that are not known for the culture they originate do come from parts of Italy. There are many fish, chicken, and other meals that are Italian as well. You may be surprised to know that you are cooking these much more than you think. How you cook and what you cook with is just as important as the main course itself.

The Freshness Factor
When it comes to Italian style cooking, fresh ingredients are the best option. The fresher the ingredients are in any type of dish, the better it tastes. Italian food is known for the spices and herbs that go into it. When you use dried and bottles spices and herbs, you are influencing the taste in the extreme. Dried spices tend to be more potent in some cases and weaker in others. You will really have to know what is what if you choose to not to go fresh. Fresher herbs also add to the look of the food you are eating. While dried herbs can be seen to some degree in lighter dishes, the darker, more traditional dishes will lose the luster from using them.

Shortcuts - Yes Or No
One debate when it comes to Italian style cooking is whether you should always cook the dishes from scratch of if you can use short cuts. Not all people have the time to make a sauce from scratch yet still want to enjoy a good Italian dish at home. Then benefits of making it all on you are that you can add as much and whatever you prefer to it. You do not have to stick to a strict recipe and you know exactly what is in your meal. Other people say that choosing to use a jarred sauce as a base is also acceptable as long as you add to it to make is your own. No matter what you prefer, as long as your meal is appreciated by you and your family that is all that matters.

Spicy Does Not Mean Hot
A common misconception is that home style cooking is hot. Spicy means flavorful, not hot. While some dishes may have a bite to them depending on what is called on or added as an ingredient, most of the Italian dishes use spice to make your mouth water, not try to make you sweat. People get really confused at time with the types of herbs that are used. Most of them are well known and inert. For those who love a bit of kick, you make have to add your own flare. If you like a great tasting meal that does not kick the senses into heat mode, try a favorite Italian dish today.

Meal Assembly: No-Fuss Home-Style Cooking for the Busy Mom

The modern mom is the family accountant, chauffeur, guidance counselor, referee, and sometimes breadwinner. With so many jobs to juggle around, many moms have downgraded the task of cooking the family meal in their list of priorities. However some moms have found a creative way to come up with delicious, healthy, home-style meals, without the need to slave over a hot stove all day. The solution? Meal assembly.
Meal assembly is the technique of using prepared and pre-packaged foods as shortcuts when prepare home style cooking (meals). Some ingenious mothers are able to turn ordinary food items bought from convenience stores and supermarkets into great meals. Don't believe us? Here are some suggestions:
1) Grab a bag of pre-washed salad greens and some mixed veggie sticks from the produce section, a pack of walnuts or
a small bottle of olives from the snack aisle, a can of tuna from the canned goods section, and a bottle of salad dressing like ranch or vinaigrette from the sauce aisle. Mix them up in a salad bowl for a healthy side dish for two or a light meal for one.

2) Make a fast chicken stir fry by pan-frying shredded rotisserie chicken and pre-sliced vegetables from the produce aisle in some soy sauce and sesame oil from the Asian food section. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with some microwave-cooked rice.
3) Have kids who hate vegetables? Fool them into eating it by layering some fresh broccoli or cauliflower florets from the produce section in between some sliced processed cheese like Velveeta in a baking dish. Bake the dish in a conventional oven (a microwave works too, but not as well) for a few minutes in low heat, until the cheese melts. Cool for several minutes, and serve.
4) Fry up some prepared chicken fingers from the frozen food section. Then, cook a small pack of pasta according to package instructions. Lastly, saute a bottle of tomato or pasta sauce in a very small amount of oil with some sliced onions and green peppers. Pour the sauce over the chicken and pasta for an Italian-inspired feast.
5) Grab a pack of seafood ramen noodles from the Asian food section, then head for the seafood section for some frozen de-veined shrimp and sliced-up squid. Lastly, get several packs of frozen vegetables like corn, carrots, and peas. Prepare the ramen noodles according to package instructions, add the shrimp halfway through the cooking process, and add the vegetables near the end. Enjoy your Asian-style seafood noodle soup!
